The D3 commits for the class of 2025 are EvaJolie Cavalier ’25 and Ainsley Kashatus ’25.

Cavalier will attend New York University for volleyball. At 12 years old, she joined her first volleyball club. At 16, she realized she wanted to play collegiate sports, and then, Cavalier said she “started really taking volleyball seriously.”

Cavalier was very involved in her volleyball club outside of school, but Holton Athletics impacted her. She felt that all her coaches gave her “so much support” even though there were “a lot of coach changes.”

Cavalier gives a “huge thanks to [Athletic Trainer Maureen] Siburt and [Strength and Conditioning Coach Madison] Kurish” for everything.

Cavalier looks forward to “a new community and being surrounded by amazing athletes” at NYU next year. She is “also super excited to win championships.”

Ainsley Kashatus will attend Macalester College for diving. She began her diving career in the MDCL summer league at the age of 8. Kashatus remarked that she "started taking diving classes year round, and eventually after covid started competing."

Kashatus was a vital member of the dive team for all four years and scored points for the swim and dive team at many championship meets. Kashatus remarked that she has "loved getting to know people from other grades."

This year, she placed first at the ISL championship meet and was named the 2025 ISL Champion. Additionally, she made the swim and dive All-ISL team.

She also found great success at the WMPSSDL Championship, where she contributed to the swim and dive teams’ win. She was named WMPSSDL Female Diver of the Year and made the WMPSSDL All-League team.
