What are Students' Favorite Fall Drinks?

You know fall is around the corner when the weather starts to turn colder, the leaves change color and school begins, but you truly know that the season is here when Starbucks puts its famous Pumpkin Spice Latte on the menu. What makes the Pumpkin Spice Latte so popular? Why is it the go-to fall drink?

Well, for Catarina Francisco Skamnelos ’28, the Pumpkin Spice Latte is “so cozy and embodies fall.” She loves it because she “can pair it with a pumpkin loaf.” Evidently, everybody loves a cozy fall drink to accompany the cool autumn weather, and the Pumpkin Spice Latte is the perfect drink to go along with it.

Not just any coffee shop, however, can make this famous fall drink. After asking many students where their favorite place to get a drink in the fall was, "Scribbler" found that Starbucks was the winner every time, thanks to its endless customizations and variety of pumpkin-flavored drinks.

chase a solid pumpkin latte from the nearest coffee shop, Starbucks is known for its multitude of syrups, flavors and add-ons. Priya Howard ’28 and Dani Hebron ’28 appreciate this aspect of Starbucks’ Pumpkin Spice Latte as Howard loves adding caramel to her drink while Hebron prefers a Pumpkin Chai.

With pumpkin the official flavor of the fall, people add this spicy and sweet flavor to their drinks and further increase the popularity of the famous Starbucks latte. On the other hand, Julia Meier ’28 said she is not a fan of the Starbucks fall drinks but “[loves] the winter drinks.” No matter the season, Starbucks is ready to deliver fan favorite drinks that are perfect for any time of the year.
